Patriotism
Patriotism is the foundation of the many chapter activities that take place at meetings, activities, and events. The love of our country is evident in the patriotic spirit of chapter members. The current membership is proud of our over 45 ancestors who fought for freedom. Through continued ancestor research the list of Patriots grows each year.

Wreaths Across America
2024 will mark the first season the Fond du Lac Chapter, NSDAR, will participate in Wreaths Across America. We welcome volunteers to assist in the laying of over 300 wreaths on the gravesite of veterans in St. Charles and Taycheedah Cemeteries on Saturday, December 14, 2024. The wreaths cost $17 each. Donations are greatly appreciated and can be made online.

REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

The Fond du Lac Chapter, NSDAR, is honored to coordinate the placement of veteran wreaths on gravesites in the St. Charles & Taycheedah Cemeteries. While we are starting with these two locations in our inaugural year, it is our hope that future years will see wreaths on veterans’ graves at all Fond du Lac area cemeteries.

On December 14, 2024, at 11:00 am, chapter members and Wreaths Across America will hold a moving ceremony at St. Charles Cemetery. Immediately following, we will Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you.

If you would like to donate a wreath, please click here to learn more. The Fond du Lac Chapter, NSDAR, receives $5 per sponsored wreath. Funds raised through this effort will be used in support of our veterans.

Thank you so much for supporting Saint Charles & Taycheedah Cemeteries and Wreaths Across America!
Supporting Active Military and Veterans

Members actively support the Old Glory Honor Flights for veterans, provide clothing and craft projects to veterans’ homes, donate hand-stitched quilts as part of the WSDAR Quilts of Valor presentation, provide recognition to Vietnam veterans with pinning ceremonies. We recently promoted the 250th anniversary of our country’s independence with a special America 250! community awareness event.
Members also take on projects to support Blue Star Mothers and delivering care packages in programs such as Operation Gratitude.
ROTC Gold Medal
Each year the chapter recognizes an outstanding cadet in the Fox Valley Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Battalion who is a graduate in the ROTC Program at Marian University and is being commissioned in one of the U.S. Armed Services.
Recipients must have demonstrated loyalty and patriotism, be in the upper 25% of their class and show the qualities of dependability, adherence to military discipline, leadership, and a fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of ROTC training. Schools in the Fox Valley ROTC battalion include: St. Norbert, UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh, Marian University, and Ripon College.
